3rd Miluo China International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament
Regulations
1. Date: June 1-2, 2008
Venue: Miluo River, Miluo City, Hunan Province of China

4. Crews: Dragon boat teams invited from China and abroad.
5. Racing Events: Open Standard Boat 500m and 1000m Straight Speed Race.
6. Racing Method:
1)The updated version of the “Chinese Dragon Boat Racing Regulations” will be applied in the race.
2)All racing equipments (e.g. boats and paddles) shall be provided by the Organizing Committee. Participating teams are also allowed to bring their own paddles whose color must be the same.
3) Each team shall bring two of their national or regional flags approved by the IOC and on arrival one of them must be handed to the Organizing Committee for hanging at the regatta course. Please keep the other one for the Opening Ceremony, Welcome Ceremony, Closing Ceremony and awards receiving ceremony.
4) Each participant is kindly required to bring two photos (passport size) and submit to the competition department upon arrival for making accreditation and marshalling cards.
5) Each crew members shall wear clothes of the same color and design.
6)Method of drawing:
(1) Straight Speed Race
1. There will be heats, repechage, semi-final and final (final method will be decided by actual number of teams).
2. Drawing lots will be conducted at the Joint-meeting for team leaders, coaches and chief judges. Lane number and boat number will be drawn after the roll call.
7. Qualification:
1) Capable of swimming at least 200m in light clothing. To be proved healthy by hospitals.
2) Participants should be insured by themselves. The Organizing Committee would like to require all the paddlers wear life jackets. With written application form, team can race without life jackets.
8. Participation
Each standard team shall comprise 28 persons, 1 Head, 1 Team Manager, 2 Coaches, 24 athletes (including 1 Drummer, 1 Steersman, 20 Paddlers and 2 Substitutes).

2) Teams not winning any prices will be awarded participation prices by the Organizing Committee of 4000RMB as participation prizes.
10. Entry and Registration:
1) The Entry: Please fill in two copies of the entry form and the name list form and return them to the Chinese Dragon Boat Association and Miluo Sports Bureau by May 1st, 2008 and May 15th, 2008 respectively.

11. Expenses
1) The Organizing Committee will make all-round arrangement for food, accommodation and local transportation for each crew (28 number of people for standard boat team).
2) People of earlier arrival, later departure and extra will have to pay for themselves.
12. Other matters
1) Each team please arrive on May 30, 2008. If your team need to be picked up at the airport, train or bus station, please inform the Organizing Committee by May 15, 2008.
3) Training day is May 31, 2008. Opening Ceremony and 500m race is on June 1, 2008. 1000m race and Awarding Ceremony is on June 2, 2008. Departure date is June 3, 2008.
4) Each team is kindly requested to make a good arrangement for arrival and departure for the organizer will provide the transportation for arrival and departure only once respectively for each team.
